Our Story
AI Services Built on Honesty About What Works
Solvane was founded on the premise that most organisations do not need more AI hype — they need clearly scoped work delivered by people who understand both the technology and how businesses actually operate.
Back to HomeWho We Are
Founded in Kuala Lumpur, Focused on Malaysia
Solvane started from a straightforward observation: too many Malaysian organisations were spending on AI consulting that produced reports but not results. The missing piece was not ambition — it was specificity. Engagements lacked defined deliverables, and teams were left with frameworks they could not act on.
We set out to do the opposite. Every engagement at Solvane begins with a scoping conversation and ends with a working system, documented for your team. We focus on three areas where AI currently delivers clear, measurable value for Malaysian businesses: compliance oversight, inventory management, and AI adoption readiness assessment.
Our clients range from financial services firms in the Klang Valley managing regulatory exposure, to manufacturers in Penang and Selangor looking to reduce inventory carrying costs, to organisations across sectors asking whether and how to begin their AI journey. What they share is a preference for considered decisions over rushed investment.
Solvane operates from our office in central Kuala Lumpur. We work with clients across Malaysia and can accommodate remote engagement for teams outside the Klang Valley.
Our Mission
To make AI adoption accessible and worthwhile for Malaysian organisations — through honest scoping, skilled delivery, and knowledge transfer that leaves your team stronger.
Our Approach
Practical over theoretical. Specific over general. We work within your constraints rather than asking you to change everything before we can begin.
Our Commitment
Clear communication, defined deliverables, and genuine knowledge transfer. If a project scope changes, we discuss it openly — we do not treat it as an opportunity to expand billing.

How We Work
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
Every engagement at Solvane is run against a set of operational standards that we do not waive for budget, timeline, or client pressure.
PDPA-Aligned Data Handling
All engagement data is handled in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act. We establish a written data handling protocol before any work begins.
Structured Project Methodology
We use a consistent delivery framework across all projects: scoping, development, review, and handover. Each phase has defined inputs, outputs, and sign-off criteria.
Full Documentation
No project closes without complete documentation — model architecture, usage guides, maintenance instructions, and known limitations. Your team can work with what we leave behind.
Model Explainability
We build AI systems your team can interrogate. Where possible, we prioritise interpretable model architectures and always document the logic behind automated decisions.
Transparent Communication
Scheduled updates are non-negotiable. If something in the project changes — scope, timeline, or our assessment of what is achievable — we raise it immediately rather than delaying the conversation.
Knowledge Transfer
Every project includes structured handover sessions so your team understands what was built and why. The goal is for your capability to improve, not just your systems.
Expertise & Values
AI for Malaysian Organisations — Practical, Responsible, Documented
Malaysian organisations operate under specific regulatory conditions — the PDPA, Bank Negara guidelines, and sector-specific compliance requirements — that generic AI vendors often overlook. Solvane's compliance monitoring service is built around these actual conditions, not adapted from frameworks developed in other markets.
Our inventory work draws on deep experience with the supply chain realities of Malaysian retail and manufacturing: multi-location complexity, SKU proliferation, and the demand variability that comes with a market shaped by seasonal patterns, public holidays, and import-dependent supply chains.
The AI Readiness Scorecard was developed because we saw organisations making AI investment decisions without a clear picture of where they actually stood. The assessment covers data quality and accessibility, technical infrastructure, team capability, and whether the organisation's strategy creates conditions for AI to be useful. The output is a benchmarked report and a prioritised action plan — not a sales pitch.
We are a small team and we intend to stay that way. Each engagement has a named person responsible for delivery. We do not subcontract, and we do not assign junior staff to work that requires senior judgment.
